Why GBB

At GBB we take much of our inspiration from the natural world.

The scientific name for Mountain Gorillas is Gorilla berengei berengei. As one of our closest relatives, their ecosystems and social structures can at times be strikingly similar to ours, so therefore they are a profound mirror of our own ecological and social realities.

They are also a deeply resilient species that has rebounded after significant adversity. In addition, they are a symbol of collaboration and innovation, as plenty of committed and deeply passionate people in both government and the private sector have worked to implement creative solutions that enable the resurgence of the Gorilla population.

It is for these reasons we have chosen GBB as our identity—we can and will be resilient in the face of climate change if we look ahead with creativity and collaboration.
